Mizoram is a State in northeastern India blessed with natural beauty, unique culture, traditions, and a variety of biodiversity. Aizawl is a beautiful hill city and the capital of the State of Mizoram. flanked by the lofty peaks of Durtlang in the north. It is set on ridges of steep hills overlooking the valleys and rivers. This picturesque and peaceful city also commands exotic landscapes and verdant hills stretching away to the horizon. As per the survey, the year between 2019-2020 (pre covid) 1.67 lakh tourists visited Mizoram and in post covid, the number is expected to increase drastically. Mizoram total population stands at 11 lakhs, which means a total number of visitors is 14% more than the population of the State. With the increase in tourist arrival, the development of the accommodation sector is crucial and the establishment of world-class accommodation is very necessary for Mizoram to avoid difficulties faced by many visitors. Mizoram State does not have Star Rated Hotel, which creates massive problems for many officials and business visitors. At present, visitors were accommodated in non-star hotels and supplementary accommodations. The construction of a Star Rated Hotel in the capital city of Aizawl will certainly change the phase of the accommodation Industry in Mizoram.
